For over 30 years, Rainforest Foundation US has worked on the frontlines of rainforest protection by partnering with indigenous peoples who have lived in and protected the forests for millennia. To date, we have supported communities to protect over 33 million acres of rainforests. We are dedicated to both protecting tropical rainforests in Central and South America and promoting the rights of indigenous and traditional peoples who manage and depend on these forests for their survival. By partnering directly with indigenous peoples’ organizations and communities, Rainforest Foundation US supports those who are most effective at protecting rainforests and od so by protecting their ancestral lands, influencing policy and strengthening their leadership.
